Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 10.1

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is finally here, for real this time. The Note will be available globally starting this month and will come in three different versions: Wifi Only, WiFi plus HSPA+ and a WIFI Plus LTE version- though the third version won’t come until a little later down the road. What kind of power do you get with the Note 10.1? This beast is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, an S Pen stylus, and a 1280×800 10.1-inch display. While the display isn’t that impressive, it still looks to be a rather capable tablet and has multiple storage options from 16-64GB, expansion of memory by microSD, 5MP rear camera, 1.9MB front camera, not to mention bluetooth 4.0 capability, USB 2.0 host capabilities, and a 7100mAh battery.

Outside of the hardware, what truly helps set the Note apart is the use of custom software and tweaks. The Note 10.1 features some of the same unique software that was also introduced with the Galaxy S3 such as the S Pen Experience (S Note, S Planner, My Story), Adobe Photoshop Touch, SamsungHubs and even a multiscreen mode that lets your run two different apps at once. The utility of the Note 10.1, thanks to great hardware and software, can’t be denied, but it’s nice to see that the Note 10.1 is as attractive as it is functional. Of course at least some of its popularity will likely come down to pricing, which has yet to be announced. If I were to take a guess at it, I’d wager somewhere around $400-$550 though.

What do you think of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1?
